Pokémon Roster;

MISDREAVUS | ♂ | Loki | Lv. 55
Nature: Naughty
Ability: Levitate
Moveset: Growl, Psywave, Spite, Astonish, Confuse Ray, Mean Look, Psybeam, Pain Split, Payback, Shadow Ball, Perish Song, Grudge, Power Gem

Izaya's second starter in Johto. He tends to think that on the whole Loki's a good match for him; very similar in nature to how Namie was, but definitely lacking some of the charm. He's mischievous, but usually more so in a way that tends to irritate Izaya than endear him. That'll change with time though, if Izaya has anything to do with it.

He's named for Loki, a known figure of mischief in Norse mythology.

LAPRAS | ♀ | Icovellauna | Lv. 56
Nature: Docile
Ability: Water Absorb
Moveset: Water Gun, Growl, Sing, Mist, Confuse Ray, Ice Shard, Water Pulse, Body Slam, Rain Dance, Perish Song, Ice Beam, Brine, Safeguard, Hydro Pump, Sheer Cold

Icovellauna was originally given to him by L, the first time he was in Johto. She was an acquisition of his own volition, fully knowing the strength and ability of a Lapras. Knowing this, Icovellauna became one of the two Pokémon Izaya sought to keep in an owner's hand should he have disappeared. When he did, she fell under Rise's ownership. Rise did a good job of caring for her, but now back in her original trainer's hands, Icovellauna is a much happier Pokémon. Motherly to his others, in fact. Which is good. Because Izaya isn't a very good mom.

She's named for Icovellauna, a Goddess of Celtic mythology, also known as the Divine Pourer of Waters.

RATTATA | ♂ | Joey | Lv. 30
Nature: Bold
Ability: Run Away
Moveset: Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Bite, Pursuit, Hyper Fang, Sucker Punch, Crunch, Assurance, Super Fang

Caught for the only purpose of eventually getting a Focus Sash, leveling it up and breeding it to test the FEAR theory with a low-leveled Rattata. He really has no attachments either way.

He's named for Joey, the excitable Rattata trainer on Route 30.

SWAMPERT | ♂ | Bailey | Lv. 53
Nature: Timid
Ability: Torrent
Moveset: Tackle, Growl, Mud-Slap, Water Gun, Bide, Mud Shot, Foresight, Mud Bomb, Ice Punch, Ancient Power, Earth Power, Superpower, Take Down, Muddy Water, Protect, Earthquake

Bailey is a slice of irony for Izaya. He'd originally bred an egg and given it to Lynne anonymously when he was giving out Mudkips many moons ago. For him to leave, return, and then receive the spawn of one of his Pokémon is really quite funny. He doesn't care for the choice of name, but it doesn't matter much to him. It's a high-leveled, useful Pokémon. He can make do with this. You know, especially once he gets another Ditto in his possession.

ARBOK | ♀ | Medusa | Lv. 43
Nature: Rash
Ability: Intimidate
Moveset: Wrap, Leer, Poison Sting, Bite, Glare, Screech, Acid, Crunch, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up, Mud Bomb, Gastro Acid

Caught on Route 32, just outside of Violet City. Medusa worked out in his favor - he just happened to want a poison type. She's a bit on the tempermental side, and doesn't get along well with the other members of Izaya's team, but he's not bothered by this at all. Evolved on September 4th.

Named for Medusa, one of the three Gorgon children of deities Phorcys and Ceto in Greek mythology - a figure commonly known for hair made of snakes and a stare that turns mortal men to stone.

UMBREON | ♀ | Izanami | Lv. 47
Nature: Lonely
Ability: Intimidate
Moveset: Tackle, Tail Whip, Helping Hand, Sand Attack, Pursuit, Quick Attack, Confuse Ray, Faint Attack, Assurance

Egg purchased from China, with the intent of trainer her to be an Umbreon. She's a bit quiet and detached from the rest of Izaya's team, and is only loyal to him. Good luck getting anyone else to have her listen. She's still friendly, but distanced. Finally evolved on September 11th.

Named for Izanami, the Shinto goddess of both death and creation.

DITTO | - | Eileithyia | Lv. 28
Nature: Docile
Ability: Limber
Moveset: Transform
Caught on Route 34 for the sole purpose of breeding... :)

Named for Eileithyia, the Greek goddess of childbirth and midwifery.

FLYGON | ♀ | Artemis | Lv. 37
Nature: Bold
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Moveset: Bite, Sand Attack, Faint Attack, Sand Tomb, Crunch, Supersonic, Dragon Breath

Egg obtained via the Breeding Centre on September 12th. Artemis lives up to her name; her favorite thing to do is hunt... although general what she ends up hunting are people's shoelaces. Well, she tries. Evolved into Flygon on November 13th; though she can now fly, rather than be confined to the floor, she still likes to swoop down and try to tie and untie people's shoelaces.

Named for Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, forest and hills and the moon.

SLOWPOKE | ♂ | Daikokuten | Lv. 18
Nature: Timid
Ability: Oblivious
Moveset: Curse, Tackle, Yawn, Growl, Water Gun, Confusion
Egg obtained via the Breeding Centre on September 12th. As a spawn of Yosuke's Slowbrow, Jiraiya, he seems to maintain a lot of the same traits. Daikokuten is constantly hungry, trying to eat anything in sight -- and when he's not eating, he's drooling. Izaya finds him absolutely infuriating to try and train, so he rarely brings him into battle and keeps him for the sole purpose of breeding for nefarious purposes.

Named for Daikokuten, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune in Japanese culture. He's particularly known as a god of wealth in the kitchen - appropriate for his appetite.

GYARADOS | ♂ | Susano-o | Lv. 30
Nature: Rash
Ability: Intimidate
Moveset: Splash, Tackle, Thrash, Bite, Dragon Rage, Leer, Twister

Egg obtained from the Breeding Centre on September 12th. As a Magikarp, he was pretty difficult to train, hence why it took him nearly two months to will the patience to do so properly. However, the result appears well worthwhile, though Susano-o's rash nature sometimes makes releasing him from his Pokéball something of a hassle. Evolved into Gyarados on November 4th.

Named for Susano-o, the Shinto god of the sea and storms.

GABITE | ♂ | Orochi | Lv. 34
Nature: Hasty
Ability: Sand Veil
Moveset: Tackle, Sand Attack, Dragon Rage, Sandstorm, Take Down, Sand Tomb, Slash, Dragon Claw
Egg obtained from the Breeding Centre on September 12th. Orochi is eager, wanting to be trained and learn all he can. He's obedient and seems to enjoy Izaya's company. Evolved into Gabite on October 28th.

Named for Yamata no Orochi, the 8 tailed dragon that was slain my Susano-o in Shinto mythology.
