004 ♜ Video | Action for Goldenrod
[Rather than seeing Izaya when the video turns on, the scene seems a bit... different. Perhaps because what you're seeing a video of is the train overpass that runs through Goldenrod's main route. It remains focused there - occasionally a leaf or some Pidgey will work their way into the shot, but it's very steady.]
[Those who pay attention, or those who know him, will recognize Izaya's voice when he begins to speak.]
Johto never really has been known for being progressive, hm? When I arrived in Goldenrod City nearly a year ago, these tracks were barren. The station was empty. And still, to this day, it's not operational. It's been just about a year and a half since many started to arrive here -- yet, there's not solid way to get to Kanto, either.
Perhaps the programmers are still working out the glitches! I guess having someone perpetually stuck in Glitch City, Kanto wouldn't be to ideal for them! [He laughs, clearly entertained with his own meta. He stops abruptly, continuing his rambling thought. Or is it really rambling?] There's so many options, or at least, there should be. There's a port city in both regions - or did they forget to program the bodies of water to connect?
Maybe even other regions entirely! After all, there should be other equivalents, right? Kanto mirrors Kanto, Johto mirrors Kansai. I wonder what will be next. Kyushu? Hokkaido! Chubu! Chugoku! The options could even be limitless if they expand their horizons.
Curious.
This world is always so very curious.
Of course, that's what makes it so endearing. I love it! I love the people in it! I can't wait to see what happens next!
[Some more laughter, and once he's exhausted that, he shifts the camera focus to his face, smiling wide.]
Maybe someone would like to sneak on the tracks, rebellious. Walk them -- see how far it takes you! After all, you shouldn't have to have the worry of being hit by the moving train.
[And with that, he switches the feed to a private call to
usedpatience]
Saki-chan, I'd like to speak with you when you have moment. I have something of a proposal for you.
[Those who are in Goldenrod are free to run into him, be it there or at the department store, where he'll be getting supplies for an impromptu trip to Violet City.]

[Pointedly ignoring the fact that he wants an elaboration too, because everything is infinitely more fun when Karkat is furious.]

Perhaps I should blame the programmers for that, too! After all, if they'd kept your memories in tact, you'd get most of this by now. It's a shame, really. Having to re-teach you all of the nuances of human speech.
I'm sure your thinkpan will catch up eventually, though!

But some things never change - whether it's that past Kachin or you right now. You say it's not worth your time, and yet you replied anyway. Sometimes I wonder about your masochism, Kachin. It's not really very healthy! You spend so much time being angry over insignificant things... and yet you spend time further aggravating yourself dealing with it.
It wouldn't hurt to lighten up a bit.

I'm just glad I don't have to explain masochism to Kachin! Though I guess anything volatile is part of your specialty.

[Or amused, but that's a given.]
